The Billerica High boys soccer team improved its record to 6-0-4 overall on Thursday with a 2-0 victory over Tewksbury, avenging a tie with the Redmen early in the season.
Senior John Aguilar and sophomore Ethan Melandes had the Indian goals in the victory with junior Brian Jones and sophomore Jason Xintaropoulos had assists.
Senior goalkeeper Riwaj Singh had five saves for BMHS.
Before Tewksbury, Billerica topped Lowell by a 3-1 score.
Jones, sophomore Ryan Jacob and senior Erik Villafuerte were the Indian goal scorers with Villafuerte adding an assist.
Singh piled up 12 saves in the victory.
In a match with Peabody last Saturday, BMHS earned another shutout against the Tanners, a 2-0 triumph.
Sophomore Riley Donovan made his first career varsity start in goal and had 14 saves for Billerica.
Jones had both Indian goals, one on a penalty kick and the other assisted by junior Amir Mahrez.
The Indians played two a pair of draws against North Andover and Lawrence.
Singh had six saves in a 0-0 tie against the Scarlet Knights and made nine stops against Lawrence, a 1-1 deadlock.
Jacob has the BMHS tally against the Lancers, assisted by Mahrez.
Billerica’s most lopsided win of the year came against Methuen, a 5-1 thumping.
Four different Indians had goals in the victory as Jones scored twice, Jacob added one, Nic Xintaropoulos had a goal and senior Eric Helberg found the back of the Ranger goal.
Jacob, Jones and senior Jack O’Connell were all credited with assists.
Next up for Billerica is a Tuesday afternoon game in Haverhill.
BMHS returns home on Thursday at 6 p.m. for a home game against Dracut.
